where to start with cosmetic procedures

Cosmetic procedures come in many forms. You can have some procedures done to shape your body or others to remove the damage of time to your face and neck. So, how do you decide which cosmetic procedures you want to have done? This is something that I struggled with for several years before I took the first step of improving my appearance through cosmetic surgery and procedures. I created this blog with the sole purpose of helping others struggling with the decisions that come with having cosmetic procedures performed find the solutions that will best suit their personal needs and desires.

5 Things To Know About Recovering From A Breast Lift Procedure

Are you planning to have a breast lift procedure done, but wondering what the recovery process will be like? Here are some things that will be good to know so that you are prepared after the procedure.

Recovery Will Be Faster Without Implants

If you just got a breast lift and did not get implants at the same time, be aware that the recovery process will be faster than if you did get implants. This is because an implant is not placed underneath your muscle, so you'll be able to go back to normal activities faster. If you did get implants, then you'll have a longer period of time until you can resume activities such as lifting, working out, and things of that nature that could put stress on those muscles.

Expect A Stretching Sensation

The first thing you are going to notice after the procedure is that there is a stretching sensation. There will be a numbing medication used during the procedure, so you will not feel pain in your chest right away. If you do experience pain, you'll want to use a pain reliever like Tylenol. Avoid using any narco pain medications, since they can actually slow down how fast your body heals.

Not Wearing A Surgical Bra Is Likely

Your doctor will decide if they want you to wear a surgical bra after the procedure. If they do not, then it is because they want to avoid having constrained blood flow going to your breasts. Wearing a loose-fitting t-shirt or sports bra will be best in this situation because your doctor doesn't want to have compression on your breasts.

Expect To Take Antibiotics

Your doctor will likely give you a prescription for antibiotics after the procedure. If so, you'll want to take them right away and make sure to take the full medication, since some people make the mistake of not taking them once they feel better. The purpose of the antibiotic is to prevent a potential infection.

Expect Your Breasts To Take Several Weeks To Look Normal

Know that the process of recovering from a breast lift will take some time, and it will be several weeks until they start to look normal. That's why it's important to not freak out if you are not seeing immediate results, and consult with your doctor about what kind of timetable you can expect for recovery. This will give you realistic expectations.
